Yes and over the next 4 weeks the real teams will sprint to the top. They'll win all four of their games or at least 3 of them. The other teams, the 2-2 or worse teams? They'll sprint later, during the playoffs they'll sprint to their couches to be sure they get a prime seat from where they can catch (sorry, bad word) watch the playoffs.

NFL Week 11 Preview

It's been a fun season in the NFL. Unpredictably fun. Several teams this year have raised their hands to say, "We think we're the best team in the league. Yes, we're clearly the best," Only to have their hand slapped down in their next game. Remember when the Steelers were clearly the best team in the league? How about the Patriots, the Jets, the Packers? Most recently it was the Giants. They came out of their bye week 6-2 looking too strong, too physical to be beaten. With Eli Manning blooming into, well, into a poor man's Peyton, they certainly were not going to get beaten by the dismal Dallas Cowboys, not at home. But then they played the game and like the lights in their brand, spanking new stadium, the Giants sputtered and finally went out. Throttled by the lowly Cowboys! Who'da thunk?

5 minutes into the competition, #3 TCU was losing 14-0 to unranked San Diego State. TCU fans will defend that SDSU's practically instantaneous 14 points were a fluke - an exception to TCU's exceptional defense. A 50 yard heave and an endzone fumble recovery both qualify for fluke consideration, but not if the final score corroborates that TCU might not be as good as their ranking or their 47-7 win over Utah indicates.
